Welcome to December! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
In this month’s edition of my newsletter, I cover the latest in Brooklyn and Manhattan real estate, along with some interesting articles and fun local events you won’t want to miss.
Usually when I sit down to write this commentary, my first thought is to dive into the numbers and recap the market, analyze trends, and attempt to forecast the future. However, with the holidays approaching, I’m in a bit of a different frame of mind. My family just celebrated a special birthday for my Mom with a dinner cruise around the city (which she loved!), we enjoyed an wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with the whole family and I had the good fortune of a productive month with great clients (and other agents!). So, with a touch of the holiday spirit in mind, I thought I would share something a bit different: why I love my job.
While I’ve done a lot of things in my career, I find I’m most able to positively and meaningfully impact the lives of others through my work as a real estate agent. And, what it boils down to and what I enjoy most about it is, the people I meet and the opportunity I get to help them fulfill their dreams for the future.
This past month, I had the honor of working with three terrific clients as they purchased their first homes. Each of them embodied the qualities that make this job not just rewarding but an absolute pleasure: they were kind, gracious, patient, flexible, diligent, and, most of all, happy and excited!
They were happy and excited about the start of a new chapter in their lives and happy and excited about finding the home they had envisioned for their future. Their positivity made the process rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable for me, even in challenging markets like these.
So, to David, Adam, Alana, Ian, and Ellie, thank you. Helping you find your new homes was a privilege, and I’m thrilled for each of you as you embark on this exciting new chapter in your lives.
